As Goat Birth Creeps Closer…
Just a quick peek in on Pasqualina. We’re pretty sure she’s due either at the end of April or early May. Her udder is filling out nicely, and I even saw some little dribbles of milk the other day. And her belly is certainly bulging.
She’s still in her same good spirits, though I seem to catch her snoozing in the afternoon more than usual. Here she is subtly yawning tell me to leave her the heck alone so she can rest:
I don’t know if she’s getting nervous, but I sure am — as usual.
Here’s hoping for a smooth, easy, healthykidding season for everyone still in the throes of it!

She is very bulgy, but quite lovely, as ever. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for an easy birth.

I’ll be squeezing my thumbs that everything goes well and everyone stays healthy. I love the picturing of her yawning, it looks like she’s loudly complaining to you.

Babies yet? Whenever I have a girl that’s close I have to run out to the barn every time I get back to the house from somewhere. From work, from errands, from dropping off at school, from harvesting in the garden. Basically, I trample a patch to the kidding barn and back. Hope all goes well!
