Hoof Ten, Dude! Surfing Goat Video Makes a Splash
You may have already seen this surfing goat video as it’s been making waves in the media for a few days, but well, here in southern Italy, it’s olive picking season, so I’ve been a bit behind on current events:
Yes, these babies are being pressed into gorgeous, liquid gold as I type — our supply of olive oil for the year, and if we’re lucky, a little extra so we can give some away to friends and family.
I’m happy to steal a few minutes at the computer this week, especially when those minutes consist of watching a goat surfing:
That Goatee sure is a trooper. I don’t think Pasqualina or Pinta would even get on the board, let alone stay on it for a few seconds. Goats generally hate water, so it’s truly amazing to me that Goatee is hoofing ten.
‘Course he’s a California goat, so I guess he’s a bit more chill than most.
Have you ever put your goat in, ahem, compromising positions?

Now, I can’t the lyric line “wish they all could be California goats” (to the tune of the BB California Girls) out of my mind. (-8
Glad to see you back “on the air” Michelle, and as for your olives:
“OLIVE IT!” ( O LIVE IT = I LOVE IT)

When I was a teenager my family had a Jack Russell terrier who used to come windsurfing with me. She absolutely hated being left behind on the beach, so out she’d come on the board, standing on the front like a figurehead. She also used to come on long-distance cycle rides with us, riding on my dad’s shoulders. She was pretty cool … 🙂
