Walking a Mile in Your Goat’s Hoof Shoes
Sometimes as goat caretakers, we may find it difficult to really understand what a goat is going through whether it’s birth, weaning, milking, or other caprine activities.
Well, here’s our chance* to walk a mile in our goats’ shoes.
Perhaps, though, you were thinking a bit more . . . rustic?
And for those times when you’re just relaxing around the pen:
What do you think your kids (human or caprine) would say if they saw you in any of these?

Hysterical!!!! I am a shoe … let’s say lover! But I must say, these don’t make my list. However, we might see the gold gun boots on Lady GaGa!
Please do NOT show these photos to the goats! LOL!
Hahaha I wouldn’t want to scare the poor things! Regarding Lady Gaga, though, this pair almost made the list….

Somehow I don’t think those hooves will help us people climb rocks and stumps like the goats! When my son was younger he would have insisted I buy a pair, lol!
Haha true, proof that it’s not about the hooves regarding mountain climbing, etc.!

I suppose pseudo-Uggs don’t really count, do they?

I love love love the slippers!!! They remind me of my Vibram “Five Finger” shoes. The rest….ummm…not so much. I even have a sock pattern that would work for those slippers!
OK I must know more of this pattern…I mean I won’t make them b/c I can’t, but I’d love to see them! I rather do enjoy the slippers myself

Okay, the first three are ridiculous, particularly the ones with the gun heels because … what? But the hoof slippers are okay; they’re pretty much the same as Japanese tabi — socks that you can wear with geta. I would find those useful around the house when I put on flip flops to step outside for a minute. Or when I have to go out and clear the yard by eating all the overgrown bushes.
I actually read your first sentences together a bit as “What the hoof?” which also works here…I like the slippers too

They are called “Tabi” socks. Here is a link for some!

Wikipedia can tell you the traditions of tabi socks, which are still widely worn in Japan and gaining popularity with people who like to wear flip-flops or sandals all winter.

If you do a search on tabi sock patterns, you will find many!
Thanks Claire! Flurrious mentioned these above as well. They *do* look comfy!
